I have seen a wide range of Dutch Oven Sites, so I thought that I would change my section to cover all outdoor cooking. As with anything on this site I welcome ideas and comments from anyone.
Cooking out is a progrssive skill, an act of creativity and self expression and a real team effort. Unlike cooking on the kitchen stove, where only a few people can be involved, the entire group can feel a sense of accomplishment through a meal well prepared. The foods cooked outdoors usually taste better and the rewards are obvious and tangible.
There is a real pride that develops as the group tries different methods of cooking outdoors. Such as Dutch Ovens, Box Ovens, Tin Foil, Pie Tins, Muffin Tins, Reflector Ovens, Stick Cooking, Free Heat(Vertical Spit), Cooking on Leaves, Cooking in Paper, Shortening Can Cooking just to mention a few. The first time campers will experience the same kind of self satisfaction, joy and excitement with their s’mores as will the more experienced campers with a successful chicken dinner.
Have fun, be careful and enjoy your cookout together.
